As Co-Captain for BRW Architects I am incredibly proud of the work our team put into the 2024 design. Inspired by the classic Pentax SLR camera, we crafted a truly “PAWtacular” home for your furry friend. Built in partnership with Crossland Construction Company, Inc., I lead the internal design meetings and manage the construction process with Crossland. 

Inspired by the iconic Pentax SLR camera, my teams entry to the competition showcases nostalgia brought to life with meticulous craftsmanship and detail. From the birch wood framing and laser-cut cylindrical lens, to the innovative 3D-printed elements. Thoughtfully designed to feature a hidden storage compartment and leash hooks to mimic the iconic camera strap. Even the custom painted cushions are designed to be machine washable and feature a color the dog will be able to see. This doghouse transcend it’s typology to become a conversation piece within any environment.

This was an incredible opportunity to grow my project management, leadership, and construction administration skillsets. We took home the "hot dog" award, which is given to the overall second best design.
